Project Outline:

Wonderwalls® partnered with GPT Group to curate and deliver a significant public art project in celebration of NAIDOC Week. This project involved:

  • Artist Commission & Collaboration: Commissioning renowned Indigenous artist Zac Bennett-Brooke of Saltwater Dreamtime to create a site-specific artwork that celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and history.

  • Site Selection & Project Planning: Identifying a prominent location within a GPT Group property in Wollongong and developing a comprehensive project plan, ensuring the artwork's successful integration into the surrounding environment.

  • Project Management & Delivery: Overseeing all aspects of the project, including artist liaison, site preparation, material sourcing and installation.

This project provided a platform to celebrate Indigenous culture and history, enhance the public realm, and contribute to a more inclusive and culturally enriched community within Wollongong.
