Wonderwalls® partnered with the NSW Government - Family and Community Services (FACS) to curate and deliver a significant public art initiative within the Shoalhaven Local Government Area. This project aimed to:
Foster Community Engagement: Develop and deliver a vibrant community-based street art festival that engaged local residents and fostered a sense of community pride.
Support Local Artists: Establish a mentorship program that provided valuable professional development opportunities for emerging local artists, guiding them through the creative process and industry best practices.
Enhance the Public Realm: Transform underutilised public spaces with impactful and engaging street art, enhancing the visual appeal and livability of the local community.
Promote Social Inclusion: Create a platform for diverse voices and perspectives to be heard, fostering a more inclusive and equitable community.
This project successfully leveraged the power of public art to achieve positive social outcomes, supporting local artists, strengthening community bonds, and enhancing the overall quality of life within the Shoalhaven LGA.
