Wonderwalls® partnered with GPT Group to integrate a significant public art commission into the redevelopment of Wollongong Central. This project involved:

• Art Strategy & Curation: Developing a comprehensive public art strategy for the redevelopment, identifying suitable locations and curating renowned Australian artist Andrew Frazer to create a site-specific artwork.

• Artist Consultation & Collaboration: Working closely with Andrew Frazer to develop a concept that resonated with the unique character of Wollongong and seamlessly integrated with the architectural vision of the redevelopment.

• Project Management & Delivery: Overseeing all aspects of the project, including artist liaison, site preparation, material sourcing, installation, and ongoing maintenance.

• Community Engagement: Fostering community awareness and engagement through targeted marketing campaigns and public events showcasing the new artwork.

This project successfully integrated public art into the fabric of the redevelopment, enhancing the visitor experience, enriching the public realm, and contributing to the cultural vibrancy of Wollongong Central.
