Wonderwalls® partnered with Wollongong City Council to bring a vibrant and unique public art piece to a prominent laneway in the Wollongong CBD. This project involved:
Artist Commission & Concept Development: We commissioned renowned local artist Ash Leslie to translate her distinctive style and signature aesthetic from canvas to a large-scale mural on the forecourt of a new Japanese dining establishment.
Project Planning & Implementation: Our team meticulously planned and managed all aspects of the project, including artist liaison, site preparation, material sourcing, and stakeholder engagement.
Creative Direction & Execution: Ash Leslie skillfully adapted her artistic vision, creating a stunning mural that seamlessly integrated with the surrounding laneway environment while enhancing the visual appeal of the new dining location. Her canvas works also adorn the dining room of the venue creating a seemless aesthetic finish.
Community Engagement & Promotion: We actively promoted the project to the local community, highlighting the work of a talented local artist and showcasing the transformative power of public art.
